TÜVTURK

TÜVTURK offers services through its qualified and expert staff at a total of 264 vehicle inspection stations, 193 fixed and 71 mobile, all conforming to international standards. TÜVTURK is the only corporation entitled to offer periodical vehicle inspection in Turkey and conducts its operations under the supervision of the Repuclic of Turkey Ministry of Transport and Communication and is accredited according to international ISO 17020 standards by TÜRKAK. TÜVTURK, which represents the largest privatization project in the service sector, undertakes vehicle inspection services through its nationwide organization based on a business association system.

The fixed stations are spread out to 81 provincial cities and together with mobile stations 8,8 million inspections are realised annualy with the effort of 3.000 people.

In addition to periodic inspection, TÜVTURK provides Road Worthiness Test for freight vehicles bound for European Union countries in 28 stations in 22 cities and Exhaust Gas Emission Test that is required according to environmental legislation. Exhaust Emission Test is currently provided in 173 stations in 79 cities.

Traffic Responsibility Action

TÜVTURK regards its main activitiy, vehicle inspection, as a social responsibility itself. Through it’s vehicle inspection services performed with international standarts, TÜVTURK provided maintenance and repair of millions of vehicles creating potential danger in traffic, with theirs heavy defaults in the past 3 years.

The main aim of Traffic Responsibillity Action, running under the leadership of Ministry of Transportation together with many shareholders, is to increase awareness of personal responsibility on traffic safety.

The project is running under three sub-projects. Safe Vehicle Action aim to reach commercial vehicle drivers. Bosom Buddies Action aim to reach primary school students and Responsible Citizen Action aim to reach university students and the public.

Disabled Agents on Call Center Operation

TÜVTURK’s aim in this project is to give a chance to people, having any disabilities due to trafic accidents, to be a part of the solution for trafic problems in Turkey.

As of today, our 60 disabled agents in 18 cities, are performing Call Center services from their home, their most confortable places. TÜVTURK, via providing training and equipment needs support them to surpass barriers.
