Social Responsibility Approach

As Doğuş Otomotiv, we are active in the preservation of the automotive values. Our market share in the automotive industry is about 9 pct; we employ about 2000 people and are leader in the wholesale import market.

In short, it would not be wrong to argue that we did a wonderful job if we had evaluated financial performance alone. However, as a company aware of our corporate responsibilities, we know that we are part of a whole with our employees, shareholders, customers, business partners and society.

Therefore, we do not believe that the success of a corporation is evaluated by its financial performance alone. We believe that we have responsibilities vis-à-vis our community, the people and common areas of public sphere. We hold that success is attainable via proliferation of living areas.

As Doğuş Otomotiv, we are working in awareness of our corporate social responsibility; we seek to add greater value to the society by spreading this sense of awareness and responsibility through our business models and social stakeholders. We have devised our business plans in reliance on this understanding and we have taken bright steps. To this end, we signed the UN Global Compact in March 2010. By this signature, we pledged we would be committed to promoting the ten principles spelled on the said instrument on human rights, labor c, environment and anti-corruption.
